Come talk to me about:
Anxiety, Burnout, Perfectionism

The past 13 years of education and training has led to an eclectic and wholistic approach I use to help you feel better. It includes a mix of cognitive-behavioural therapy, emotional literacy and regulation, mindfulness, self-compassion, neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, developmental psychology, the mind-body connection, and looking at your family of origin and current family dynamics. As well I’m learning to incorporate narrative therapy , inner child work, shadow work, nature based strategies, and play therapy to understand your concerns from these perspectives. Check out the sections below to see more of my specialization/niches.

Let’s help you feel good in your body.

Areas To Explore

Anxiety

Whether it’s in a demanding job, school, interpersonal relationships, or day-to-day life, anxiety can show up as a sometimes unwelcomed guest. Although I firmly believe anxiety is a protective mechanism, together we can learn more about how it’s showing up for you (what’s helping and what’s hurting), and strategies to cope with your anxiety.

Burnout

Sometimes our issues spring forth to such an extent that it overwhelms us and causes us to feel like we are drowning. You may feel anxious, hopeless, depressed, disconnected, unable to enjoy your usual activities, or even suicidal. Counterintuitively, it can come up even when things seem to look good on the outside. Don’t be alarmed, your body is responding to something(s) happening that need to change. And together we can figure out what that is to make you feel like you again.

Perfectionism and Imposter Syndrome

Do you sometimes feel like you have to be ‘perfect’ all the time? To paraphrase the words of Demi Lavato, do you have “a black belt in beating up on yourself but an expert at giving love to somebody else?”,Trust me, I’ve been there time and time again. I have spent many years working on my perfectionistic tendencies and am familiar with the harsh inner critic and sometimes feeling like you can’t be your true fun, mistake-making, wild, human self. Listen, the longest relationship you will ever have is with yourself, so let’s rekindle and strengthen more love for you.

By no means are we constrained to these touchpoints. However, these will give a guideline of the kinds of issues you may be experiencing and potential avenues to explore. Reach out to discuss more of what you are looking for.
